Family
Movie Night

On
the evening of Tuesday, November 10, from 6:00 to 8:30, the Parents Association
of JHS 157 hosted Family Movie Night. All students and their families were
welcome. Everyone was entitled to a slice of pizza, a glass of soda, other
snacks and the movie, Paul Blart Mall Cop. All this, for the low price of $7.00! In comparison to a movie in a movie theater,
it would be $10 for a movie ticket, a soda at $4 and a pizza would cost about $3.25,
totaling over $17.00!
Paul Blart, Mall Cop features Kevin James as a security guard who
patrols the mall and takes his job a little too seriously. The reaction from
the audience was positive, most people laughed throughout the movie.
The Parent Association decided to host Movie
Night on this particular date as the following day was Veteran’s Day and
schools were closed.
Over
60 people attended and all proceeds benefitted the Parents Association.
