School Lunch

School Food By Hannah G.      The commonly held belief that school lunches are not that tasty was put to the test recently. Television cook Rachel Ray made sizzling soft tacos that kids here said was alright. But the average lunches aren’t all bad either. An interview with 6th grader Kristy A. revealed her thoughts on school lunches. Do you like the school lunch? Sometimes. It depends on what they are serving. Which kind of lunches do you like? Well, the pizza is not that bad, and their chicken fingers are good, but I don’t like their corn or salad choices, they don’t taste fresh to me. What do you think of the drinks? Well, sometimes I get tired of milk and I don’t have money for water or something else like Snapple. What suggestions do you have about that? I think that they should have different drink variations, not only milk that is free. What do you think of the snacks in the snack room? It’s not like the snacks are the main food or anything, but the snacks are really good, especially the Pop Tarts! What do you think of the school’s breakfast? I don’t like the pancakes or waffles because they taste like rubber and when you try to pick them up with your spork, they stick together like rubber too. But I do like the corn bread and the apple cinnamon bread! It tastes really good!
